I discovered these hungry bird babies nesting inside a piece of art in Harpersville, Alabama Wednesday. I almost didn’t notice them, but when I got close they popped their little heads up, mouths wide. I watched their mamma visit them several times.
The art is a larger-than-life metal frog outside a shop on Highway 280. John Rossman, the owner of The Copper Frog, said it was custom made by an artist in Tonalá, Guadalajara, Mexico. He said every year birds nest in the hands of the frog.
